Lightning Lane recommendations #

Tier 1 Depends on riders’ preferences: (I’d Rope Drop whichever one I don’t have booked)

  • Spaceship Earth?

Individual Lightning Lanes and Thoughts

  • Guardians of the Galaxy: You can rope drop this, but having it booked is a good backup plan. This is widely regarded as the best ride in Disney right now, so you don’t want to miss it.

Are Lightning Lanes necessary for Epcot? #

Sigh. As you can see, Epcot has a problem. It’s tier 1s are nearly impossible to get on without a Lightning Lane, but it’s tier 2s aren’t worth it, and there’s no way to Rope Drop both Remy’s and Frozen because of their placement in the World Showcase. Really, if riding these two rides is super important to you, and if you’re only doing one day in Epcot, the only way you’re going to get on both of them is to use a Lightning Lane on one and Rope Drop the other. If, however, you have two Epcot days planned, simply Rope Drop them across both days.

How I would “run” my Epcot morning #

  • Lightning Lanes booked: Remy’s
  • Rope Drop: Frozen

But it should be noted that my kid doesn’t like the Frozen ride (the hillllll), so this tends to not be an issue for us.
